Strategy behind the brand
When creating the branding for Living Adopted, we knew the brand should evoke feelings of positivity, inspiration, community, honesty, and empowerment. Since Living Adopted is a personal brand and is heavily intertwined with Maria Scott, it was important that both word marks be strong enough to stand independently, but also strengthen each other and flow together seamlessly. For both logos I used a serif font that has a bit of flair and personality. I used the serif font in a way that allows each word mark to be unique, yet still support one another. In both identities I paired the serif typeface with a calligraphy inspired script font, which infuses positivity and makes the brand feel very personal.
